Hades and Persephone

Hades and Persephone are chthonic deities that rule the Underworld in ancient Greek mythology. Hades is the god of the dead and owner of the soil’s riches. His attributes are the bident and a helmet that allows its wearer to remain undetectable in the form of a shadow or mist to other supernatural entities. Persephone is the goddess of spring and her stay in the Underworld brings winter.
